Meet Camp Minister

Pronouns: He/Him

Hailing from London, Camp Minister is now an event producer in Sydney by day and a vibrant club kid by night—if you know, you know! Always serving looks, he embraces the full spectrum of creativity in the queer community.

What is your favourite Mardi Gras memory?

"The World Pride 2023 Fair Day is probably my favourite memory. It was my first-ever Fair Day, and I loved the community spirit. There aren’t many places in Sydney where you can gather so many different spectrums of the community in one spot, especially during the daytime when you can really see everyone and recognise so many familiar faces."

What event are you looking forward to in 2025?

"Fair Day, I love it! Of course, the Parade and after-party are also classics."

What does Free to be mean to you?

"Throughout my journey as a queer individual, 'Free to be' has always meant having the freedom to be as creative and expressive as you want, both within and outside the queer community. There can be a lot of stigma around how people express themselves, which can make them hesitant to show their true selves outside of clubs. This hesitance affects every part of our community, not just those who are more creatively inclined."

Finish this sentence; Free to be:

"As creative and expressive as you want to be, on any day of the week at any time."
