Presented in Partnership with ANZ, Sydney’s most vibrant free queer community event of the season returns to picturesque Victoria Park on Sunday 16 February for an all-day rainbow adventure for the whole family.

Join over 80,000 revellers at FAIR DAY as you enjoy the summer sunshine with a picnic, shop the community stalls for your Festival outfit or join the fun and games in the Sports Village. There is something on offer for everyone – including your precious fur babies, who can strut their stuff at the world-famous Doggywood competition.

Fair Day 2020 will proudly showcase up-and-coming queer performers who are redefining the Australian music landscape and bringing LGBTQI+ voices and stories to the forefront of the industry. Hosted by Faustina Agolley and Felicia Foxx, this year’s ANZ Main Stage line-up will see performances from trailblazing queer hip hop artists Jess B, JamarzOnMarz, Jamaica Moana and Hoodzy, electric live sets from Ngaiire, Bec Sandridge, Architects Of Sound and Huntly, plus sets from beloved community DJs Division 4, MzRizkBen Drayton and Victoria Anthony.

“Fair Day is a cornerstone of the Mardi Gras season and brings LGBTQI people of all walks of life together for a day of celebration alongside our family and friends,” said Mardi Gras CEO Albert Kruger. “It is an opportunity for us to remember our history and toast to the resoundingly positive spirit of our community.”

“This year’s ANZ Main Stage line-up is incredible and shines a spotlight on queer performers who are pushing boundaries and shifting cultural paradigms through their art,” Creative Director Kat Dopper added. “Another highlight of the afternoon will be Fair Day’s beloved Doggywood contest which will see our canine winners take to the stage in an award ceremony like no other.”

Set under the popular big top at The Arena, from 10am-2pm Doggywood will showcase Mardi Gras-themed dog shows hosted by the ever popular Bingay host with the most, Naomi Palmer. Naomi will MC our Doggywood pageants where cute canines will battle it out for prizes and the title of Best Dressed & Most Talented. Making their Doggywood Debut, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will be hosting two Guide Dog Puppy Preschool sessions showcasing their cutest recruits.

Victoria Park Pool will be open on Fair Day, so be sure to pack your swimmers if you want to take a dip. Especially for Fair Day, Victoria Park Pool will be offering free entry for children under the age of 10 years.
