Mardi Gras 2020 is action-packed for families with kids of all ages!

Start the festival at our family friendly Fair Day in Victoria Park. This year at Sydney’s all-day LGBTQI+ picnic there’s a kids zone featuring activities with Rainbow Families. Thanks to City of Sydney, Victoria Park Pool will again be open with free access for children – just head to the info desk at Fair Day to pick up a wristband.

The Rainbow Families group is very active over Mardi Gras season, with various event including:

Check out the Rainbow Families website for more details about their upcoming events with Mardi Gras, with their 2020 theme ‘Families Matter’.

We’re also proud to have several LGBTQI groups for families in the Mardi Gras Parade this year, to name just a few:

Parents, grandparents and caregivers with their children of all ages are excited to join the Parade. This year and every year, the Parade inspires confidence, respect and love in families in all their various forms, raising children who accept themselves and others for who they are and who they love.

Mardi Gras’ action-packed event for families is back for 2020. For the third consecutive year, Family Fun Day will transform Luna Park’s Crystal Palace on Sunday 23 February into a ‘rainbow wonderland’ for LGBTQI+ families and friends. Enjoy unlimited rides, plus DJs and surprise performances. Children will marvel at the array of materials on offer for them to get crafty, and create their own piece of Mardi Gras art. The ticket price of $37.89 includes unlimited rides all day plus all the excitement and entertainment awaiting inside the Crystal Palace! Get tickets here.
