Want to join hands as the curtain raises on the 2025 Festival? Applications are now open to join Mardi Gras +, the official Festival open-access program featuring the best of our communities Sydney Mardi Gras celebrations.

With a range of packages outlined below, Mardi Gras + is managed and curated by the same team who deliver the internationally renowned Festival and invites local, interstate and international promoters and event organisers into the Festival, under a range of categories including Mardi Gras + Parties, Mardi Gras + Arts, Mardi Gras + Sports, Mardi Gras + Community and Mardi Gras + Family.

Please ensure that you have read all information below and the 2025 Terms and Conditions before submitting your application online.

2025 Mardi Gras + Program

ALL IN PACKAGE (PRINT AND DIGITAL)

Inclusions:
– 1/6 page event listing in the printed and digital Festival Guide
– 2 x dedicated social media posts via Sydney Mardi Gras channels
– Dedicated event listing page on the Sydney Mardi Gras website
– 1 x dedicated mention in the Sydney Mardi Gras Newsletter
– Inclusion in the social media, newsletter and website ‘What’s On Today’
– Use of the 2025 Sydney Mardi Gras Festival Events branding pack

Price:
Ticketed: $999 for one event, $899/event for two events or more
Free: $699/event
NFP and events run by LGBTQIA+ Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island promoters are eligible for a $100 discount (one event only).

PRINT ME PACKAGE (PRINT AND DIGITAL)

Inclusions:

Price:
Ticketed: $799 for one event, $699/event for two events or more
Free: $499/event

DIGITAL DIAMOND (DIGITAL ONLY)

COUNT ME IN (DIGITAL ONLY)

Inclusions:
– Dedicated event listing page on the Sydney Mardi Gras website
– Inclusion in the newsletter and website ‘What’s On Today’
– Use of the 2025 Sydney Mardi Gras Festival Events branding pack

Price:
Ticketed: $199 or $159 each for two or more
Free: $159 or $109 each for two or more

Joining Mardi Gras + 2025 is by application, only if your event is approved and your submission is paid it will be added to the Festival calendar.

Application process:

  • Submit your completed Mardi Gras + 2025 application by the appropriate closing date, via the application link below. All required fields must be completed in order for your application to be reviewed.
  • All applications will be assessed by Sydney Mardi Gras based on their relevance to the LGBTQIA+ community, contribution to the broader Sydney Mardi Gras Festival, if the event(s) take place during Feb and/or March 2025, are run by, employ and/or engage LGBTQIA+ people and align with the Sydney Mardi Gras ethical framework.
  • Approved applicants will be notified and will need to pay the entry fee and complete an additional event information form.

  • Applications close: 15 September 2024 (11:59pm AEST)
  • Successful applicants notified: 16 September 2024
  • Additional event information form due: 22 September 2024
  • Entry fee due: 22 September 2024
DIGITAL DIAMOND & COUNT ME IN: ROUND 1
  • Applications open: 15 August 2024 (4pm AEST)
  • Applications close: 15 September 2024 (11:59pm AEST)
  • Successful applicants notified: 16 September 2024
  • Additional event information form due: 22 September 2024
  • Entry fee due: 22 September 2024
DIGITAL DIAMOND & COUNT ME IN: ROUND 2 (DEC 2024 DATES TBA)

1. In order for your event to be accepted by Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, you must ensure that your event name and title meets the criteria in these Terms & Conditions.

2. You must not use the words:
a) “Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras” or “Mardi Gras”, or “Official” in your presenting credit or event title, because Sydney Mardi Gras is not co-producing or co-presenting your event;
b) “Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras” or “Mardi Gras” or “Official” or “Official Opening” or “Opening Event” or “Official Closing Party/Event” in the title or URL of your event, as it could be interpreted as a Sydney Mardi Gras produced event.

3. You must not use our name in your presentation title – this includes:
a) Presented by or with Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
b) Co-presented by or with Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
c) Presented by or with Sydney Mardi Gras / Mardi Gras
d) Co-presented by or with Sydney Mardi Gras / Mardi Gras
e) In Association with Sydney Mardi Gras / Mardi Gras

4. This also includes using the above words in your event names and URLs created online, including social media platforms and ticketing sites. 

5. If your event registration is accepted by Sydney Mardi Gras, you will be entitled to use the 2025 Mardi Gras + branding package in all your marketing collateral to acknowledge you are an officially registered event. The 2025 Mardi Gras + branding package will be issued to you after your event is accepted. You cannot use our logo prior to the pack being issued.

6. When completing your application, you must satisfy the conditions outlined in the application form. 

7. If you fail to pay the entry fee by the due date, you may be subject to a 10% late fee for each week past the due date. If you fail to pay the entry fee for two weeks it is within Sydney Mardi Gras power to remove your event from the Festival program.

8. It is to the discretion of Sydney Mardi Gras to determine the channel and timing of your social media and newsletter inclusions. Requests are welcomed however not promised.

9. Due to the volume of work and events during the Festival period, Sydney Mardi Gras are unable to provide insights and analytics on social media, newsletter and website inclusions.
